Dolores Moran (born January 27, 1926 in Stockton , California - February 5, 1982 in Woodland Hills , California) was an American actress .

Life

Allegedly, the cover girl, who previously worked as a waitress in a drive-in, was discovered by a Warner Brothers talent scout at the annual Elks Lodge picnic in Sacramento in 1941 .

Mostly Moran was used as an eye-catcher in smaller productions. But in 1943 she got the opportunity to work alongside Bette Davis and Miriam Hopkins , which she found an honor. In 1952 she married producer Benedict Bogeaus , 22 years her senior , which caused a scandal when his ex-wife took her own life. The marriage lasted ten years and Moran had a son. She was then only seen in her husband's productions. After their divorce in 1962, things went quiet for Dolores Moran. In 1968, she inherited $ 250,000 from a former drive-in customer. The actress died in 1982 at the age of 58.
