Cathedral pharmacy to the diamond wreath
The Domapotheke zum Rautenkranz is a listed former pharmacy in the city of Merseburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located at Domstrasse 2 in a prominent corner location on the corner of Domstrasse / Apothekerstrasse in downtown Merseburg. The buildings of the property enclose an inner courtyard. Domstrasse 4 , which is also a listed building, borders to the north . The seasonal fountain is located south of the house .
Architecture and history
Until 1514 there was a synagogue on the property . Jewish merchants have been recorded in Merseburg since the 10th century. The cellar of the property is already from the Romanesque period and thus evidences a development as early as the Middle Ages . From 1542 a pharmacy privilege existed for the property . During the Renaissance and the Baroque period , the mediaeval building was rebuilt. On the southern side there is an inscription panel referring to the year 1535.
In the local register of monuments , the pharmacy is listed as a monument under registration number 094 20145 .
