Domenico Brunenghi (* 13. October 1833 in Finalborgo Finale Ligure ) was an Italian diplomat who to 8 February from 3 July 1879 1880 Charge d'Affaires was in Sofia.

Life

On 12 July 1855, he completed a study of the jurisprudence at the University of Genoa from. He entered the foreign service of the Kingdom of Sardinia in November 1857 and was sent to Livorno on December 11, 1857 . On November 6, 1859, he was appointed Vice Consul, Third Class in Galatz. On December 5, 1860, he was sent to Sulina . From 1861 to 1862 he was Vice Consul at Galatz and Sulina. On September 5, 1861, he was appointed Vice Consul, Second Class. From December 3, 1861 to May 15, and from August 16 to December 29, 1862 he headed the consulate in Galatz. On November 20, 1862 he was sent to Bucharest, where he had exequatur as consul from January 27 to September 8, 1863. On May 28, 1863, he was sent to Varna . On March 28, 1864, he was sent near Paris , where he became Vice-Consul First Class on February 26, 1865, and on March 2, 1865, he was sent to the Walloon Region . From October 9, 1867 to August 30, 1868 he headed the consulate in Paris . From August 30, 1868 to June 8, 1874 he had exequatur from Ismail Pasha as consul in Cairo . In September 1870 he was appointed second class consul. On September 7, 1874, he was sent to Izmir .

On November 19, 1878 he was appointed consul general in Sofia with the administrative district of Bulgaria.

March 24, 1879 he was appointed first class consul. From July 3, 1879 to February 8, 1880 he had exequatur as consul general in Sofia of Alexander I (Bulgaria) . On May 16, 1880 he was posted to Buenos Aires , where he had exequatur as consul general from March 29, 1885 to July 1, 1888. He was awarded the honorary title of 1st Consul General on September 11, 1892.
