Petignat and Scholz

Petignat and Scholz (Pascal Petignat, * 1969 in Biel and Martin Scholz, * 1967 in Zell am See ) are a Vienna- based artist duo. They deal exclusively with photography in their artistic collaboration .

Cooperation and work

After an art education at the University of Design in Zurich (Petignat) and at Le 75 in Brussels (Scholz), they each devoted themselves to their individual photographic projects before starting their joint artistic work as Petignat and Scholz in 2005. In their first joint work Parking Lot , Petignat and Scholz built a walk-in camera obscura in public space and exposed a picture on site. They use photography , installation , performance , text and digital media in their work .
