Domenico Solombrino

Domenico Solombrino (born November 27, 1987 in Mühlacker ) is a German-Italian racing driver and driving instructor.

Career

Domenico Solombrino began his motorsport career in karting in 1999 . In 2006 he switched to touring car racing and competed in the Mini Challenge Germany .

In 2013, 2014 and 2015 he started with a Toyota GT86 CS-V3 in the Toyota GT86 Cup of the VLN endurance championship Nürburgring .

In 2014, at the VLN season finale, he drove the STADAvita Racing Team's Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT4 to third place in the GT4 classification.

His greatest success so far was the 2015 SP10 class victory in the VLN Endurance with an Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT4 from the Mathol Racing team.

In the 2018 VLN season, Solombrino achieved second place in the SP10 class for Team Mathol Racing with a Mercedes-AMG GT4 in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring .
