Domenico Veneziano (* around 1410 in Venice , † around 1461 in Florence ) was an Italian painter . He is considered an important master of the Florentine early Renaissance .

life and work

He trained with Masolino da Panicale , Masaccio and Donatello . He did not create many works. Only two are signed by him: two panels from an altar from Santa Lucia de Bardi and a fresco fragment of a tabernacle depicting the Madonna and Child and the “Adoration of the Magi”, Tondo of the Medici, tempera on wood, ⌀ 84 cm, Berlin , State Museums of Prussian Cultural Heritage , Picture Gallery

He worked with Bicci di Lorenzo on several frescoes .
