Dominik Zeh

Dominik Zeh (* 19th September 1977 in the courtyard ) is a former wrestler in free style and current coach .

Athletic career

Zeh started wrestling at the ASV Hof . Between 1990 and 1997 he won five German championship titles in the youth and junior division. In 1997, Zeh moved to the later Bundesliga club SV Siegfried Hallbergmoos-Goldach . In 2000 he was able to achieve the military world championship title in Camp Lejeune and third place at the German championships in the weight class up to 69 kg .

In 2003 Zeh was German runner-up in the weight class up to 74 kg and in 2004 he won the German championship title in the same weight class. In his hometown of Hof he has since been known as the “Olympic champion conqueror”, as he won against Alexander Leipold , then reigning Olympic champion in Sydney 2000 in 2004. In the following year he successfully defended this title against Peter Weisenberger , to whom he had to surrender the 2006 German championship title in front of a home crowd. At the European wrestling championships in 2005 in Varna , he only finished 17th in the weight class up to 74 kg.

In 2006 Zeh returned to ASV Hof, with whom he was promoted to the Ringer Bundesliga at the end of the 2006/07 season . In 2008 he was elected Vice President of the Hof Sports Association. After the 2008 season, Zeh ended his active career. In spring 2009 he replaced his father, the Bavarian national coach Horst Zeh, as coach of the ASV Hof.

Professional career

Zeh did an apprenticeship as a draftsman in an architectural office from 1994 to 1997. From 1997 to 2004 he was a member of the Bundeswehr sports promotion group in Schifferstadt. From 2003 to 2006 Zeh completed a degree in fitness economics and in 2004 founded a company for sports nutrition. Between 2006 and 2008 he opened a nutritional and figure training center and two tanning salons in court.

Political career

In the city council elections on March 2, 2008, he moved into the city council of Hof for the CSU .
