Don D. Jackson
Don D. Jackson (actually Donald De Avila Jackson ; born January 28, 1920 in Oakland , California , † January 29, 1968 in Foster City , California) was an American psychiatrist and psychotherapist .
Jackson founded the Mental Research Institute (MRI) in Palo Alto, California in 1959 . He succeeded u. a. Paul Watzlawick to join the institute.
Family therapy was a focus of Jackson's work .
