Donald Andrews

Donald Wilfrid Kao Andrews (* 1955 ) is a US-American - Canadian on econometrics specialized economists .

Life

In 1977 Donald Andrews graduated from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver with a bachelor's degree in econometrics . This was followed in 1980 by a master’s degree at the University of California, Berkeley . At this university he received a Ph. D. with the dissertation A Model for Robustness against Distributional Shape and Dependence over Time two years later . That same year, Andrews became a lecturer at Yale University in the Department of Economics. From 1986 to 1991 he was Associate Editor of the journal Econometric Theory . In 1987 Andrews was made an associate professor at Yale University and was also a visiting professor at the California Institute of Technology in 1987 . Since 1988 he has been co-editor of Econometrica magazine . From 1998 he was full professor , from 1998 to 2005 William K. Lanman Jr. professor at Yale University. In 1991 he became co-editor of Econometric Theory and remained so until 2003. Since 2005 Donald Andrews has been TC Koopmans professor there .
