Donald Sanford

Donald Sanford (born February 5, 1987 ) is an Israeli sprinter of American descent who specializes in the 400-meter run .

In 2008 he married the Israeli basketball player Danielle Dekel, whom he met at Central Arizona College.

After obtaining Israeli citizenship, he finished fourth at the 2012 European Athletics Championships in Helsinki and was eliminated from the London Olympics in the preliminary stages.

At the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 2013 in Gothenburg, he failed in the first round.

In 2014 he did not get past the first round at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Sopot . At the European Championships in Zurich he won bronze, and at the Athletics Continental Cup in Marrakech he was sixth in the 400 m and came second with the European team in the 4 x 400 m relay .

At the European Indoor Championships 2015 in Prague he was disqualified in the semifinals.
