Donald Sutherland McPhail

Donald Sutherland McPhail (born May 26, 1931 in Halifax , Nova Scotia ) is a former Canadian ambassador .

Life

Donald Sutherland McPhail's parents were Ruby and Donald Sutherland. McPhail graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 1952 with a Bachelor of Arts. In the summer semester of 1952 he attended the University of the Netherlands Antilles. From 1953 to 1954 he studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science . On May 27, 1953, McPhail married Ruthz Elizabeth Sacville. He has three children with her.

In 1955 McPhail was employed by the DuPont Co. of Canada . In the same year he entered the foreign service of Canada.
