Donat Chiasson

Donat Chiasson (born January 2, 1930 in Paquetville , † November 10, 2003 in Collette ) was a Canadian clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Moncton .

Life

Donat Chiasson was ordained a priest on May 6, 1956 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him Archbishop of Moncton on March 23, 1972 . The old archbishop of Moncton, Norbert Robichaud , donated him episcopal ordination on June 1 of the same year ; Co - consecrators were Camille-André Le Blanc , Old Bishop of Bathurst , and Joseph Neil MacNeil , Bishop of Saint John, New Brunswick .

He resigned from his office on September 21, 1995.
