Donzaleigh Avis Abernathy [ ˈæbɚnæθɪ ] (born August 5, 1957 in Montgomery , Alabama ) is an American actress and writer .

Family descent

Donzaleigh Abernathy is the youngest daughter of civil rights activist Ralph Abernathy , who from 1955, soon as a close friend of Martin Luther King, jr. , participated in the Civil rights movement for African American people . This fact was also the basis for her book Partners to History , which she wrote in 2003 parallel to her acting.
