Doon Mackichan

Sarah-Doon Mackichan (born August 7, 1962 in Westminster , London ) is a British comedian and actress .

Life

Mackichan was one of the writers and leading actress of the sketch comedy series Smack the Pony , which was broadcast on Channel 4 , which also made her famous in Germany. She has also appeared in the sitcoms Beast and Bedtime and as a regular participant on the TV show Knowing Me, Knowing You ... with Alan Partridge .

Mackichan's own radio show on the BBC, Doon Your Way , aired in 1996.

In addition to her appearances on the television series The Honey Trap and Bank of Mum and Dad , she has lent a. a. her voice in the animated series Bob and Margaret , Eric in Stress , Don't Eat the Neighbors and Bromwell High .

In 2003 she was a participant in the BBC charity singing competition Comic Relief does Fame Academy , where she finished fourth.

Mackichan has appeared as Flavia in the ITV series Plebs since 2013 .

In March 2016, Mackichan took part in a sailing tour as a member of a team made up of several celebrities. The aim was to circumnavigate a specific part of the British Isles in just five days. The campaign took place as part of the BT Sport Relief Challenge: Hell on High Seas .

Private

Mackichan was born in Westminster and lived in Wentworth , Surrey , until she was twelve years old. She and her parents moved to Upper Largo .

She studied acting at the University of Manchester .

Mackichan lives in Clapham with her three children, who are from her marriage to Anthony Barclay, to whom she was married from 1997 to 2005.
