Dopshari ( Dzongkha : རྡོབ་ ཤར་ རི་ ), also Dobsharri or Shari , is one of ten Gewogs (blocks) of the Dzongkhag Paro in western Bhutan . Dopshari Gewog is in turn divided into five Chiwogs (constituencies). According to the 2005 census, 3180 people live in this weight on an area of 37 km² in 21 villages or hamlets in 396 households. The electoral commission also takes into account the smallest settlements in its census and thus comes to 62 housing estates.
In addition to the Gewog administration, state institutions have a medical advice center ( Outreach Clinic ) and an office for the development of renewable natural resources ( RNR, Renewable Natural Resource Center ). In the district of the Gewog there is a secondary school ( Higher Secondary School ).
Dopshari Gewog is characterized by agriculture, predominantly arable farming with intensive irrigation followed by dry fields , which are mainly used as orchards. The main crops are rice, wheat, barley and potatoes. Apples and potatoes are the main cash crops exported to India and Bangladesh . Livestock is another important industry through the sale of dairy products.
In total there are eleven Buddhist temples ( lakhangs ) in this mass , which are either community or private.
