Doreen Lang

Doreen Lang (born February 15, 1915 in Gisborne , New Zealand , † April 21, 1999 in Malibu , California ) was an Australian - American actress . Lang starred in numerous feature films and television series since the mid-1940s.

Life

Lang completed an acting training in London and initially had live appearances on television and on Broadway . In 1956, director Alfred Hitchcock brought the actress to Hollywood. Lang made her film debut there in Hitchcock's The Wrong Man in the role of Ann James. In addition, one saw Lang again and again in works such as The incorruptible and vicious circle of fear as well as other Hitchcock classics such as The Birds and The Invisible Third . Lang also appeared as a guest actress in well-known series such as Perry Mason , Lou Grant , Kung Fu , Rauchende Colts and The Waltons .

Doreen Lang was married twice. From her marriage to Richard Rudy from 1940 to 1956 she has a daughter. With her second husband Arthur Franz , she has three other non-biological children: a stepson and two stepdaughters. Doreen Lang died of cancer in 1999 at the age of 84.
