The Dorenbach Viaduct is an inner-city bridge in Basel that connects the Gundeldingen and Bachletten quarters . The bridge is located south of Basel Zoo near the city limits to the municipality of Binningen . It is one of the three large viaducts that cross the Birsig valley in the city of Basel . The Dorenbach , which gave the bridge its name, flows south into the Birsig before the bridge.

The bridge was built from 1932 to 1934 according to plans by Robert Gsell-Heldt . The opening took place on August 4, 1934. In 1985 the Dorenbach Viaduct was renovated, which is why the tram operation to Binningen was suspended for the whole year.
