The small village church Kirchhasel is located in the district of Kirchhasel in the municipality of Uhlstädt-Kirchhasel in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district in Thuringia .

A few meters south of the federal highway 88 leading from Rudolstadt to Jena , this village church is located in the district of the municipality of Uhlstädt-Kirchhasel on the northern edge of the Saale floodplain .

history

The village church is a medieval rectangular building. Small classical gables adorn the cornice in front of the pointed hood. In 1669 the nave was rebuilt while preserving Gothic details.

The furnishings include a winged altar from 1350.

The 14 meter high freestanding round tower on the north side of the nave is the remainder of a medieval castle . The tower basement has a diameter of 3.5 meters. Around 1500 the tower was supplemented by an octagonal attachment with large sound openings.
