The Protestant village church Oberböhmsdorf is located in the Oberböhmsdorf district of the city of Schleiz in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia .

history

The church , which has existed since 1432, burned down in 1665 and was rebuilt in stages. The nave and the choir (1705) followed the church tower and finally the sanctuary .

From the outside, the building is a simple rectangular building with a central tower with four bells , three of which are made of steel.

Furnishing

The interior is divided into a nave, choir and apse with baptismal font .

The former organ , inaugurated in 1777, in the chancel on a gallery above the altar was created by master organ builder Johann Gottlieb Trampeli . Today only the impressive prospectus is available.

In 1978 the parish carried out the last renovation.
