description
building
The choir tower, which has been changed many times, is located in the town's walled churchyard. The Romanesque east tower of the church was extended with a wide late Gothic 5/8 polygon. The half-timbered upper floor and the tail hood of the tower date from 1688. The external appearance of the structure is largely determined by the arrangement of the roofs. There is a hipped roof on the choir, the nave has a hipped mansard roof.
Interior and equipment
In the polygon there are cap vaults and a sacrament niche dating from around 1500. The mirror of the cove ceiling in the ship is decorated with a figurative painting of the Last Judgment. The pulpit altar dates from the time the ship was built, as does the painting depicting the Holy Trinity in the chancel. The pulpit of the altar is framed with pilasters entwined with spikes and grapes under a broken round gable. On this Anna is herself the third between two putti , in the predella a painting of the Last Supper can be seen. A lecture crucifix and the christening presumably also date from the time the ship was built. This consists of a tripod with a putto and a shell basin. Above it is an angel floating under the ceiling. There is also a late Gothic winged altar with carved figures in the church. In his shrine there is a Madonna between Saints Magareta and Katharina under triangular projecting tracery canopies. On the wings, under tendril veils, four apostles can be seen in two rows. The classical organ prospect has a Gothic crucifix on its parapet.
Others
The church's bronze bell dates from 1486. There is also a folkloric collection of skulls from the 18th and 19th centuries in the church.
