The Steudnitz village church is located in the Steudnitz district of the city of Dornburg-Camburg in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia .

The church is located in the middle of the former core village and directly on the federal highway 88 and on the canalised Tautenburger Bach.
history
The village church was first mentioned in a document in the 13th century. The pulpit altar and the organ built in 1800 point to the Baroque period . Since 1970 the church began to decline . In 1992 it was decided to renovate it. From 1995 the roof was secured, the organ relocated and in 1996 the roof of the nave was covered. Then the interior restoration began. In 1998 the organ was installed by the Schüssler company from Greiz . The organ renovation was finished in 2008.
Specialty
There are bullet holes from the Thirty Years' War on the outer walls .
