The church

The Hirschroda village church is located in the Hirschroda district of the town of Dornburg in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia . It belongs to the parish Dorndorf-Eckolstädt in Kirchenkreis Eisenberg of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The church is centrally located and visible from afar.

history

In 1728 the church received its present form. The choir tower consists of a slate dome with a tower button and a stag wind vane . The nave is protected by a mansard roof .

inner space

The choir and nave are equipped with a wooden, stucco-decorated, vaulted barrel . Three- sided two-storey galleries and the chairs are clad in coffered fashion. The pulpit altar is a replica of the original that was burned in 1774 in the Weimar Castle Church .

The organ was built in 1752 and restored in 1987 - consultant for the restoration of the church was Horst yearling .
