Stregda village church
The Stregda village church is located in the Stregda district of the independent city of Eisenach in Thuringia .
history
The Stregda village church was built at the beginning of the 17th century, probably in 1632. In 1817 the nave was enlarged. This construction turned out to be unstable and the church therefore had to be dismantled down to the foundations and rebuilt in 1906 with the permission of the Grand Duke. The inauguration took place on December 9th, 1906. The new building included the old church tower and is based heavily on the previous building. Parts of the historical interior were taken over into the new building.
The inside of the building has been renovated in recent years. From 2011, the church tower should verschiefert be.
Interior
In keeping with the taste of the beginning of the 20th century, the nave was richly decorated with stencil paintings. The interior of the church is characterized by a square chancel, which is covered by a semicircular barrel vault. The galleries on three sides and the wooden pulpit date from 1632.
