Doris Decker

Doris Decker , actually Doris Sünkenberg , (* 1963 in Itzehoe ) is a German saxophonist, singer and lyricist .

Doris Decker came to the saxophone by accident in 1981. After graduating from high school in 1983, she quickly became part of the Hamburg music scene . 1985 she took part in the Hamburg pop course . In 1987 she founded the street band Tatärä together with Anselm Kluge and others , with whom she went on concert tours around the world. She was also a member of the Liberos , a saxophone quintet that was the house band of the Bremen talk show "Up'n Swutsch" and caused a sensation with Udo Lindenberg . On the saxophone she accompanies artists such as Marianne Rosenberg , Udo Lindenberg , Stefan Gwildis , Bosse or Revolverheld .

In 2008 Doris Decker wrote the song Verbotene Stadt together with Till Brönner and Angelina Maccarone for the Udo Lindenberg album Stark wie Zwei , which reached platinum status. She wrote lyrics a. a. for Alexander Klaws (2008), Marshall & Alexander (2009), Christina Stürmer (2010). For the successful album Zeitlos by Vicky Leandros (2012) she wrote the majority of the titles. For the album Kein Problem by Andreas Martin (2012) she wrote two titles.

As an author of children's songs, Doris Decker has already had numerous publications, including Lieder mit der Maus , Mäuseschlau and Bärenstark .

As a solo artist, she released three albums, including on Sony Records .

Doris Decker lives in Berlin.
