Doris Mendlewitsch

Doris Mendlewitsch (born January 4, 1957 in Düsseldorf ) is a German author and communications consultant. She has written several knowledge books for children, as well as ghostwriting some non-fiction books. In corporate communication, her focus is on text concepts in the B2B area and for products that require explanation.

Career

Doris Mendlewitsch studied political science with the minor subjects English and history at the University of Duisburg . She completed her studies in 1983 with a degree in social science (focus on political science). In 1987 she became a Dr. phil. PhD (with Claus-Ekkehard Bärsch and Julius H. Schoeps ).

This was followed by a traineeship at Econ Verlag in Düsseldorf. From 1987 to 1989 she was lecturer for history, cultural and contemporary history as well as current topics at Georg Westermann Verlag in Braunschweig. From 1990 to 1992 she worked as an editor in the pocket book publisher of Gustav Lübbe Verlag, focusing on general non-fiction, advice, psychology / life support, current topics, politics / contemporary history.

Mendlewitsch has been self-employed since 1992. From 1995 to 1996 and from 2003 to 2004 she held teaching positions at the institutes for media studies at the Universities of Paderborn and Bochum .
