Dorit Wahl

Dorit Wahl (born August 14, 1938 in Berlin ) is a German CDU politician .

Wahl graduated from secondary school with a secondary school leaving certificate and trained as a draftsman. After attending the University of Applied Sciences for Civil Engineering, she worked from 1961 as a graduate civil engineer at the Department of the Air Force . From 1984 to 1992 she worked as a technical employee, after which she was a housewife.

In 1977 Wahl joined the CDU, and in 1989 she rose to become chairwoman of the Lichterfelde local association . From 1979 to 1999 she was a member of the district assembly in Steglitz , from 1985 as parliamentary group leader and from 1989 as head of department. In 1999 she was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives, to which she was a member until 2001.
