Dorna is a district of the small town of Stadtroda in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia .

geography

Dorna is located east of Stadtroda and lies north behind Quirla and the federal highway 4 . It is connected via a local road with Quirla and via the state road 1076 with Stadtroda and the surrounding area. The altitude is about 290 m above sea level.

history

The place was first mentioned in a document on August 24, 1227. West of Dorna is located on the dispute knoll a rampart from the Middle Ages . It is divided into two larger areas by walls and ditches. The facility is also called the Schwedenschanze .

On January 1, 2019, Dorna was incorporated into Stadtroda together with Quirla , to which it belonged until then.
