Dorothea Frederking (born November 14, 1964 in Rothenuffeln ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .

biography

After graduating from high school, Frederking initially worked in several beverage production companies and then studied food and biotechnology at the Technical University in Berlin and graduated in 1991 with a degree in engineering . She then worked as a food technologist in the food industry. From 1995 project work at the Öko-Zentrum and -Institut Magdeburg and further training as a specialist in environmental protection. From 1997 to 1998 she was employed as a research assistant for the parliamentary group of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt and then moved to the AWO Landesverband Sachsen-Anhalt eV Here she worked as a quality officer until moving into the state parliament in 2011.

She has been a member of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party since 2000. From 2002 to 2004 she was a member of the Magdeburg district board of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen. From 2006 to 2012 Frederking was an assessor in the state executive committee of her party in Saxony-Anhalt. In the state elections on March 20, 2011, she won a mandate on her party's state list. In the 6th legislative period of the state parliament (2011 to 2016) she was the spokeswoman for her group for agriculture, energy, housing policy, regional development, nutrition and consumer protection.

In the state elections on March 13, 2016 , she was re-elected to the state parliament via the state list for the 7th legislative period (2016 to 2021) and has since been the spokesperson of her group for agriculture, energy, consumer protection, media and Europe. Until April 1, 2018, she was also deputy parliamentary group leader in the parliamentary committee of the parliamentary group of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen.
