Dorothea Neukirchen
Dorothea Neukirchen (* 1941 in Düsseldorf ) is a German actress , filmmaker and author .
Live and act
Neukirchen graduated from the Annette-von-Droste-Hülshoff-Gymnasium in 1960. After training to be an actor at the Stuttgart University of Music , she played theater on various German stages, and had film roles on German television and the BBC . Via TV announcements and moderations ( WDR , WWF ), radio broadcasts and documentaries, she came to directing and writing screenplays.
After a scholarship at the European Script Lab of the American screenwriting teacher Frank Daniel and other further training courses, she gave workshops in Germany and Switzerland in the 1990s and 2000s on screenwriting, playing in front of the camera and leading actors. In 2000, her non-fiction book Before the Camera appeared together with the CD edition Mental Training for Actors by Verlag Zweiausendeins . In the same year she published the novel Sinkflug under the pseudonym Dorothea Fremder in S. Fischer Verlag . This was followed by the radio features Tear in the Mask and Living in Old Age , the novel A Winter Affair and in 2015 the short story volume Von Liebe und Other Farewells .
She was a founding member and board member of Filmbüro NRW , eight years board member of the Association of German Scriptwriters (VDD), six years jury member for feature film funding at the BKM , two of which she was jury president and is a member of the German Film Academy .
She was married to Martin Wiebel for 24 years and has a daughter. Neukirchen has lived in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance since 2012 .
