Dos Rios AVA (recognized since October 14, 2005) is a wine-growing region in the US state of California . The area extends over the north of the administrative area of Mendocino County . The Protected Designation of Origin area is located near the Eel River at the mouth of the Middle Fork of the Eel River. The Spanish name of the appellation ( Dos Rios = two rivers ) alludes to this fact. The area still benefits from the cooling ocean breezes of the Pacific. There is currently only one winery , Vin de Tevis, in the defined area of ​​the Dos Rios AVA.
