The Dosewallips River is located in the extreme northwest of the USA on the Olympic Peninsula off Seattle in Washington State .
The name of the river comes from the indigenous group of the same name, one of nine groups of the Skokomish , also known as Twana .
The Dosewallips River is 40 kilometers long and drains an area of approximately 250 km². It flows into the Hood Canal , a fjord of the Puget Sound , in Dosewallips State Park .
