The Double Peak is a mountain in the Chigmit Mountains , a mountain range in the north of the Aleutian Range , 155 km west-southwest of Anchorage .
The 2078 m high mountain is flanked in the south and west by the extensive glacier area of the Double Glacier . 4.7 km west of the summit is the crater of an extinct volcano, which due to its location as a double-glacial volcano (Engl. Double Glacier Volcano ) is called. Geological surveys suggest that the Double Peak is not of volcanic origin.
