Doug Lefler

Doug Lefler (* in California , USA) is an American director , screenwriter and storyboard artist.

Life

Lefler was born in southern California and began making his own videos and films at the age of 12. At 17, he attended the California Institute of the Art for two years, which also included Tim Burton , John Lasseter , John Musker and Brad Bird . He then worked for several years as a storyboard artist for Disney . In 1987 he wrote the screenplay for the film Steel Dawn . He got his first experience as a director as an assistant director in Sam Raimi's Army of Darkness in 1991. He then shot other episodes of various television series. He became known through the movies Dragonheart - A New Beginning (2000), the sequel to Rob Cohen's Dragonheart , and The Last Legion (2007).
