Douglas Bernard is an American biathlete .

Douglas Bernard serves as a Master Sergeant in the United States National Guard and starts as a biathlete for them. He celebrated his greatest success when he finished third behind Duncan Douglas and Dan Campbell in the 2009 Biathlon NorAm Cup pursuit race in Canmore . In the overall standings of the season, he finished 19th. In the 2010/11 season he did not reach any podium finishes, but placed 15th even better in the overall standings.

Bernard took part in September 2009 with several other National Guard biathletes at the 2009 Biathlon South American Championships in Chile . There he, Drew Gelinas and Shawn Blanke drew attention not because of their sporting achievements, but because they were significantly involved in the rescue work after a helicopter crash.
