The Dr. Becker is a company that operates rehabilitation clinics, specialized care facilities and various rehabilitation centers in Germany. It emerged from a rehabilitation clinic in Bad Essen founded in 1977 by Marie-Luise and Ernst Becker . The company is managed in the second generation by the daughters Petra Becker and Ursula Becker. The company's headquarters are in Cologne .
The group of companies employs around 1,800 people. Over 80 percent of employees are women with certified equal pay. The Dr. Becker Klinikgruppe and Vitalis Wohnparks look after around 30,000 patients and people in need of care every year.
Corporate structure
To the Germany-wide association of Dr. Becker Clinic Group owns eight rehabilitation clinics and one outpatient rehabilitation facility that work in the areas of orthopedics , psychotherapy and psychosomatic medicine , neurology and cardiology . A clinic is operated as a sole proprietorship within the ABG Management Stiftung & Co KG group. Two further clinics (Neurozentrum Niedersachsen and Juliana Klinik) are operated in another group (Novacura):

In addition, the Dr. Becker group of companies has three physiotherapeutic centers across Germany that are directly connected to one of the rehabilitation clinics. The physiotherapy centers are located in Norden-Norddeich, Nümbrecht and Bad Windsheim.
People of all ages in need of care are looked after in the four “Vitalis residential parks” of the company group. The on-site nursing staff works according to the principle of maintaining the independence of those requiring care for as long as possible. The residential parks are located in Bad Essen, Preußisch Oldendorf, Bad Windsheim and Ansbach . There is also a day care facility in Preußisch Oldendorf.
"Dr. Becker Consulting & Training “, as an independent training provider, provides the specific knowledge of Dr. Becker group of companies in corresponding seminars, courses and training to other companies. Core competencies are the topics "Mental health and performance in the workplace".
Marie-Luise and Ernst Becker, the founders of Dr. Becker Unternehmensgruppe, established the Marie-Luise and Ernst Becker Foundation in 2002 to support the research and development of new treatment and counseling programs - especially for older people.
