occupation

Dr. Kulani is an American series starring Richard Chamberlain . He played the doctor Dr. Daniel Kulani , who works in a clinic in Hawaii and takes care of his 18 year old son.

action

Dr. Daniel Kulani works at the fictional Kamehameha Medical Center in Honolulu . He lives with his parents, who adopted him as a young child, and his younger brother James. At the beginning of the series, his son Sam ( William McNamara ), who previously lived with his mother, decides to move in with him. Sam, mostly called "Pono" (Hawaiian for Samuel) by Daniel, gives him a lot of grief.

In the hospital, Daniel has to deal with a wide variety of cases. Again and again he stands up for his patients and at the same time takes care of their relatives. Dr. Kenji Fushida ( Clyde Kusatsu ) is a colleague of Daniel and one of his best friends.

It is most emotional when his own son is in mortal danger and Daniel has to struggle with his duties as a father. After Sam's recovery, the two, who until then had repeatedly had differences of opinion, only really get closer.

Later, Daniel falls in love with the teacher Nina Delaney ( Alberta Watson ) and things don't go smoothly in this relationship either. Especially when Daniel's ex-wife later comes to visit Sam's mother.
