history

The clinic was founded in 1957 under the name Surgical Clinic Stanischeff . In 1973 it was accepted into the public Bavarian hospital supply plan with 65 beds and main departments in the areas of visceral and bone surgery.

The clinic was taken over by urologist Winfried Lubos in 2001 and, as a result of the takeover, renamed the Munich-Bogenhausen surgical clinic .

In the same year the in-house center for gender reassignment surgery was founded. At that time, the center was the first institution in the Federal Republic of Germany to devote itself to this topic.

The clinic was renovated and expanded between 2003 and 2007: the operating theater, functional rooms, administration wing and technical rooms including central sterilization and public patient rooms were redesigned during this period and formed the basis for modernization and expansion in the years to come.

In 2005 the operators took over the Bogenhausen women's clinic Dr. Boruth. As a result, the main urological and gynecological departments were incorporated into the Munich-Bogenhausen Surgical Clinic, which resulted in an expansion of capacity to 90 beds. In the same year the first Munich pelvic floor center was founded, followed by an obesity center in 2006. The endoprosthetics center was founded in 2015 as the last medical center .

As a result of ongoing modernization and quality improvement, the clinic operators have acquired the following certifications over the years:

  • 2006 First certification of the clinic's environmental management system by the City of Munich
  • 2007 First certification of the pelvic floor center in Munich by the Deutsche Kontinenz Gesellschaft eV as a continence and pelvic floor center
  • 2010 First certification of the clinic by Dekra according to DIN ISO 9001: 2008
  • 2016 First certification of the endoprosthetic center by EndoCert
  • 2016 Certification of the environmental management system by Ökoprofit Energie München 2015/16
  • 2017 Inclusion of the orthopedics department in the hospital care plan of the Free State of Bavaria
  • 2018 Certification of the clinic according to ISO 9001: 2015
  • 2019 Conversion and expansion of the central processing unit for medical products

In 2019, the operators Winfried Lubos and his son Aljoscha Lubos took over the Pasinger Frauenklinik München West. The takeover marked the establishment of the Dr. Lubos Clinics , which resulted in the Munich-Bogenhausen Surgical Clinic in Dr. Lubos Kliniken Bogenhausen was renamed.
