The Dr. Pietsch Holding GmbH & Co. KG is the parent company of the Pietsch Group, a wholesaling company in the building services industry, which was founded in 1947 by Kurt Pietsch in Legden and which today has its headquarters in Ahaus .
history
Kurt Pietsch founded Kurt Pietsch GmbH & Co. KG in Legden in 1947 as a wholesaler for the sanitary water pipe industry. From 1948, a decommissioned truck was used by the British Army to make the first deliveries. The company's headquarters were relocated to the neighboring town of Ahaus in the year it was founded. The first warehouse was set up in an old cattle auction hall. In 1952 the company moved to its first own building on Industriestrasse in Ahaus. After Dieter Pietsch took over the company in 1963, the company grew steadily. Initially, the delivery area concentrated on the area around Ahaus. In the early 1970s, Dieter Pietsch built up a customer base in and around Münster as part of his studies and an additional branch was opened in Münster. After several additions to the old building, the move to von-Braun-Straße, the current headquarters of the Pietsch Group, took place in 1983. Michael Pietsch joined the company as the next generation in the mid-1990s . Further locations in Marl, Osnabrück and Gütersloh were integrated into Kurt Pietsch GmbH & Co. KG. The takeover of the building services division of Mülheimer Handels with seven locations under the name Mülheimer Handel Haustechnik GmbH & Co. KG in 2004 was the first step towards the corporate group . In 2006, the majority stake in Handelspart Armaturen GmbH with two locations in Düsseldorf and the takeover of Elspermann Großhandels GmbH & Co. KG with a total of ten locations followed. In 2015, B&C Pumpenvertrieb Köln GmbH was integrated into the corporate group, which was renamed B&C Industrietechnik GmbH & Co. KG at the beginning of 2018. Since April 1, 2019, thiele & fendel Bremen GmbH & Co. KG with 16 locations has been taken over by the Pietsch Group. The colon in the company logo picks up on the company's philosophy and stands for the two poles "human maturity" and "professionalism".
Products
The Pietsch group of companies sells products from the building services sector in the areas of sanitary , heating , air conditioning, ventilation and renewable energies . The range includes 570,000 listed articles, of which around 30,000 are in stock. In addition to branded products , the company sells products of brands 4YOU and Sanibel. The products are sold in three stages to the licensed specialist trade. The Pietsch Group, as a wholesaler, acts as a link between industry , specialist trades and end customers.

The family-run wholesale company has around 1300 employees and is run by the third generation by Dr. Michael Pietsch. The headquarters of the corporate group is located in Ahaus . The group of companies includes Kurt Pietsch GmbH & Co. KG, Pietsch Haustechnik GmbH, Elspermann Großhandels GmbH & Co. KG, Mülheimer Handel Haustechnik GmbH & Co. KG, Handelspart Armaturen GmbH, Logistik 4YOU GmbH & Co. KG, B&C Industrietechnik GmbH & Co. KG and thiele & fendel Bremen GmbH & Co. KG. The Pietsch group of companies has 88 locations. These are located in the federal states of North Rhine-Westphalia , Lower Saxony , Saxony , Thuringia and Schleswig-Holstein . The company runs 28 bathroom exhibitions under the badambiente brand , in which end customers can receive advice including 3D bathroom planning. Trade customers can purchase the building technology products in the 85 collection warehouses or have them delivered from the three central warehouses in Ahaus , Mülheim and Ostrau . The truck fleet of our own logistics company, Logistik4YOU, consists of 167 vehicles. Logistik4YOU GmbH & Co. KG is based in Ahaus and is responsible for the entire distribution of the flow of goods. The storage area in the three central warehouses in Ahaus, Mülheim and Ostrau covers an area of 66,000 m².
