Dr. Ring-Ding & The Senior Allstars was one of the most important German ska-reggae bands.
history
The band was founded in 1992 by Richie “ Dr. Ring-Ding “senior, who was unmistakably the namesake of the band. The band quickly established itself as a fixture in the German ska scene. "The musical spectrum [ranged] from sixties ska, to reggae, modern raggamuffin and dub." (Www.allska.de)
Dr. Ring-Ding & The Senior Allstars had considerable international success thanks to their numerous concerts abroad and the collaboration with well-known greats of the reggae and ska genre ( Laurel Aitken , Rico Rodriguez , Derrick Morgan , Doreen Shaffer , Judge Dread , Lord Tanamo ). In 2002 the band broke up after a farewell tour. Since then, Dr. Ring-Ding with the most diverse scene sizes or as a solo artist. The Senior Allstars are also still active.
