The Senior Allstars is a German instrumental band from the fields of reggae , dub and ska from the Münsterland .

Band history

The band first became known through their longstanding collaboration with ska and reggae interpreter Dr. Ring-Ding (see also Dr. Ring-Ding & The Senior Allstars ). Here she gained international renown through numerous publications and countless tours . But even during this time, the Senior Allstars initially cultivated their particular preference for the purely instrumental variety of Jamaican music. Her first EP “Sniff” from 1999 was followed by further albums, singles and sampler contributions.

occupation

During a break (2005 to 2007) from Arne Piri, guitarist Markus Dassmann also took over the keyboards. Oliver Wienand ( tenor saxophone , live dubs ) left the band in 2009.
