The Drabek Peak is a 2090 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises 6 miles north of Anare Pass and 9 miles west of Redmond Bluff in the Anare Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own surveys and with the help of aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1960 and 1963. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain in 1970 after the American biologist Charles M. Drabek, who from 1964 to 1965 and worked from 1967 to 1968 for the United States Antarctic Research Program at McMurdo Station .
