The Dragmarpo Ri is located in the Langtang Himal , a mountain range in the central Himalayas north of the Langtang Khola river valley in the Nepalese administrative zone of Bagmati .
The 6578 m high mountain is located in the northern part of the Langtang National Park , about one kilometer from the Chinese border. The eight-thousander Shishapangma is located 12.5 km northeast of Dragmarpo Ri. On the western flank, the Shalbachum glacier flows south. On the eastern flank, the Kyungka Glacier runs in an easterly direction.
