The Yala Peak is located in the Langtang Himal in the central Himalayas north of the river valley of Langtang Khola in the Nepalese Administrative Region Bagmati .
The 5732 m high mountain is located in the Langtang National Park . The Langtang Lirung located 11.2 km west of Yala Peak. The summit offers a view of the eight-thousander Shishapangma, located 20 km northeast in Tibet . To the south, on the opposite side of the valley, is the Naya Kanga .
Yala Peak is considered a less difficult summit and is a popular destination for trekking tours. The Nepal Mountaineering Association classifies Yala Peak in the "A" category, which includes the more demanding peaks.
