The mountain Naya Kanga (formerly Ganja La Chuli ) is located in a mountain range in the Central Himalayas south of the Langtang Khola river valley in the Nepalese administrative region of Bagmati .
The 5846 m high mountain is located in the south of the Langtang National Park . The eight-thousander Shishapangma is located 26 km northeast of Naya Kanga. It can be seen from the top of Naya Kanga. The Naya Kanga is a so-called “ trekking summit”. Mountain tours on the Naya Kanga are offered.
The Baden-Powell Peak is located 1.5 km to the west in the same mountain range. 1.5 km east of Naya Kanga, the 5183 m high Ganja La pass crosses the mountain range. Beyond the pass rises the 5930 m high Ponggen Dopku .
