  • The Metal Hammer rated the album with five out of seven possible points and attested Pe Schorowsky good singing qualities:

“Pe Schorowsky is on the microphone for the first time in his career and cuts an astonishingly good figure. His lyrics are pleasantly unagitational, offer a tongue-in-cheek, relaxed view of the world and thus reflect Schorowsky's relaxed character pretty much. Musically, the whole thing is reminiscent of the wild early days of the Toten Hosen. [...] A surprisingly charming punk statement from the back row of the Onkelz (only in terms of stage technology). • The portal punkrocknews.de rated the album with three out of five possible points:

“Both lyrically and musically - in keeping with the relaxed style of Pe - [the songs] are mostly of a happy and carefree nature. Not that far from the W and the Onkelz, but also a lot more punk because of the voice. He himself sees very similarly that Pe is not the born singer, but overall he does his job quite well, even if he gets a bit into the lyrical in the stanzas and sometimes drifts off into speaking. But the choruses score even more! [...] All in all, "Dreck und Seelenbrokat" is definitely not the best of the year 2012, but an entertaining piece of punk rock that, once used to the sound and the voice, will surely please some of you out there.
