Tobias "Eggi" Exxel (* 27. February 1973 ) is a German Metal - musicians .

Act

In 1993 Tobias Exxel became a member of the band Squealer , with which he stayed until 1999. He released the albums Wrong Time, Wrong Place? (1995) and The Prophecy (1999). On the latter you can hear Tobias Sammet as a guest singer .

In 1998 Tobias Exxel was brought to the German metal band Edguy by Tobias Sammet , because he only wanted to sing and therefore gave up his position on bass. His first release with the band is the album Theater Of Salvation (1999), which reached number 66 in the German charts.

In 2001 Tobias Exxel released the album Spirit of Freedom with Ferdy Doernberg (keyboards), Felix Bohnke (drums), Franky Wolf (drums), Danny Klupp (guitar) and Rick Mythiasin (vocals) and Shaker Elmosa (bass) under the name Taraxacum . Tobias Exxel played bass and guitar and the band was often referred to as his solo project. After the band released the album Rainmaker in 2003, however, the formation fell silent.

On August 31, 2012, the Böhse Onkelz drummer Pe Schorowsky released the album Dreck und Seelenbrokat , on which Tobias Exxel plays bass.

On April 26th, 2015 Tobias Exxel played with the band Unisonic at the Monsters Of Rock Festival in São Paulo , as their guitarist Mandy Meyer was on tour with the band Krokus .

Private

In August 2010 Tobias Exxel had a son named Julian. Since the band Edguy had been booked for the Wacken Open Air 2010 and other events at that time , Markus Grosskopf from Helloween had to step in as a back-up.
