Unisonic is founded in 2009, German Metal - band , composed of members and alumni of various other known groups, namely Helloween ( Michael Kiske , Kai Hansen ), Pink Cream 69 (Dennis Ward, Kosta Zafiriou) and Gotthard ( Mandy Meyer composed).

history

The project began initially with the merger of Kiske, Zafiriou, Ward and Meyer, who developed song ideas together and, according to Kiskes, were "sometimes too self-critical". As a result, the project made slow progress. During this time, Kiske continued to be active as a solo artist and also took part in Tobias Sammet's project Avantasia , where he performed again on the 2011 tour with Kai Hansen; he had known him since the time they were together at Helloween. The two musicians realized that they were "still working on the same wavelength," said Kiske. That's how Hansen finally came to Unisonic.

After Hansen's entry, work on songs for the album continued again. The group performed at the Loud Park Festival in the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama (Japan). In addition to her own material, she also played songs by Helloween and Pink Cream 69 there. The Helloween track I Want Out , recorded there, became part of the January 2012 EP Ignition .

On March 6, 2012 Kosta Zafiriou announced that he would give up his job as a drummer for the band Pink Cream 69, which he co-founded, in favor of Unisonic. The first studio album entitled "Unisonic" was released on March 30, 2012.

In September 2016, Zafiriou announced that he had left Unisonic and was giving up his career as a drummer. The reason he cited was that, in addition to his job at Bottom Row, a manager agency, he was no longer able to meet the demands of being a drummer. So he wanted the change.

Michael Ehre will help out for a show in Bulgaria. Then the band will take a longer break in which to decide about the future of the band.
