Unisonic is the 2012 released debut album of hard rock band Unisonic .

background

Michael Kiske (formerly Helloween ), Kosta Zafiriou (formerly Pink Cream 69 ), Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69) and Mandy Meyer (formerly Gotthard ) have been working on songs for their Unisonic project since 2009 . The work progressed slowly and only gained speed with the entry of Kai Hansen (formerly Helloween, Gamma Ray ) in 2011. After the group had released the EP Ignition in February 2012 , which included three studio recordings as well as a live recording of the Helloween song I Want Out , the self-titled first album was released on March 29, 2012.

Unisonic was offered in three versions: In addition to the simple version as a CD in a jewel case , the limited edition of the album will appear in a so-called mediabook with a 40-page booklet and the bonus track Over the Rainbow , and there is also a version with vinyl LP and CD available.

reception

Sebastian Kohlmann wrote in Rocks magazine that the music on the album is “unconscious, modern hard rock from the here and now with the most opulent melodies and plenty of pathos” , the title I've Tried uses “even a little from Bon Jovi's “ Keep the Faith . Hansen's string work sticks out “less cheeky” with Unisonic , the music “basically has a lot less of Helloween than some people thought” , this is a circumstance owed to the fellow musicians. Peter Ehmann from undergrounded.de rates the album 6.5 out of 10 points, with the conclusion: "... you could have expected more from this line-up, but you still get to hear a rock solid Melodic Hardrock Metal album."
