Summertime is an Italian drama seriesproduced by Cattleya and published on the streaming service Netflix on April 29, 2020. The main roles are played by Rebecca Coco Edogamhe , Ludovico Tersigni and Amanda Campana . In a small town on the Adriatic Sea , Cesenatico , everything revolves around the life of Summer (Rebecca Coco Edogamhe). The series wasinspiredby Federico Moccia 's Three Meters Above the Sky .

Summer and Ale live in the small town of Cesenatico on the Mediterranean Sea - two young people with different lifestyles. Summer is a very introverted woman, she hates the summer and is applying for a job at the Grand Hotel Cesenatico in order to support her mother financially, since her father is on tour as a jazz musician over the summer. Summer has two best friends, Sofia and Edo, and a younger sister named Blue. Ale is a famous motorcycle racer from Rome . After a life-threatening fall, he takes a break from competition for the summer. His father is his biggest sponsor and wants him to race again after the summer. However, Ale has lost his interest in racing. Ales mother Laura is the manager of the hotel in which Summer works, which her ale hides at first, because he falls in love with Summer and tries to conquer her heart.

Casting
Except for Ludovico Tersigni, the entire cast consisted of first-time actors. More than 2,000 people attended auditions in Cesena , Cesenatico , Ravenna , and Rimini .
Filming
The shooting took place in Ravenna, Cesenatico and Rome and was completed on September 5, 2019.
