The Dreieinigkeitskirche ( listen ? / I ) is an Evangelical Lutheran church in Munich 's Bogenhausen district . Audio file / audio sample

history

In 1930, an emergency church was built for the Evangelical Lutheran believers there in Bogenhausen, which had grown rapidly due to immigration. The Evangelical Lutheran population in the Bogenhausen district, however, belonged to the parish of St. Johannes in Haidhausen for two more years . As early as 1936, with the help of donations from the Bogenhaus community, a new building in a romantic style with an onion dome according to plans by Horst Wünscher could be started. The first service in the new Trinity Church took place on September 19, 1937. After three of the bells had already been melted down for armament purposes in the Second World War in the early 1940s , the church was badly damaged by bombs.

After the war, the damage was repaired and a community hall was built. Since the district of Bogenhausen continued to grow steadily further east through the development of new areas, an expansion of the church was initially planned, but was discarded after the construction of new Protestant churches; Among other things, the Nazareth Church in the Parkstadt Bogenhausen and the Immanuel Church in Bogenhausen-Denning were built . The Dreieinigkeitskirche is still responsible for the pastoral care of the Alt-Bogenhausen area. The church garden was redesigned in 1983.
